Pin-Bike: sustainable mobility in the Bergamo area is rewarded, one pedal stroke at a time
Promoting sustainable mobility, encouraging an active lifestyle, and supporting the local economy: these are the goals of Pin-Bike, the gamification project “A Gentle Push in the Bergamo Area – Relaunching Sustainable Mobility One Pedal Stroke at a Time”, promoted by the Municipality of Bergamo and funded through the national call “Bici in Comune”.
The initiative covers a wide and strategic area of the Bergamo territory, thanks to the participation of the municipalities of Bergamo, Seriate, Torre Boldone, Curno, Mozzo, and Treviolo. This territorial alliance aims to reduce the use of private cars, improve air quality, and make cycling a daily, convenient, and rewarding means of transport.
When Pin-Bike starts and how to register
The official launch of the Pin-Bike project is scheduled for 2 February 2026, while registrations are open until 18 January 2026, as indicated in recently published information posts. Interested citizens are invited to register by the deadline in order to start earning points by cycling right away.
How the Pin-Bike project works
Pin-Bike is based on a reward system linked to bicycle use. Registered users earn points by cycling within the territory of the participating municipalities, thanks to a dedicated tracking system. The points collected are then converted into vouchers that can be used at numerous participating local businesses.
The gamification mechanism makes sustainable mobility more engaging and motivating, turning every commute—home to work, home to school, or leisure trips—into a rewarded action.
Vouchers, participating shops, and the local economy
Points earned with Pin-Bike can be “spent” at various local businesses, helping to strengthen neighborhood commerce. Among the participating shops is Moez eBike, a reference point for those interested in electric mobility and pedal-assisted bicycles: you can use your points for accessories and services.
This approach creates a virtuous circle: the more people choose to cycle, the more traffic and emissions are reduced, while support for local businesses grows at the same time.
A sustainable mobility project for everyone
Pin-Bike is designed primarily for citizens not only for experienced or sporty cyclists, but also for those who use a bicycle or eBike every day to go to work, take children to school, go to the gym, or do their shopping. It is an inclusive project, aimed at anyone who uses a bicycle in daily life, even for short trips. Every kilometer pedaled becomes a concrete contribution to environmental sustainability and collective well-being.
