Some people worry about the size of cargo bikes, especially those with a front box. Riese & Müller had you in mind, designing the Carrie: a compact, easy-to-use cargo bike built to handle any urban need.
It’s called the Carrie.
This innovative project is designed for people of all ages and tackles a wide range of mobility challenges. Picture the parent who wants to take their kids to school without parking struggles, or the young commuter who prefers cycling but never has room for their gym bag.
Even for those who need a good load capacity but have limited garage space, the answer is the same: Riese & Müller Carrie.
What makes the Carrie unique?
Its exceptional flexibility, thanks to customization options that offer maximum load capacity in a compact space. The Carrie can be tailored to suit your needs: for instance, we have equipped ours with a Flex Box. When closed, it’s sleek and compact, and when opened, it provides ample space for cargo—perfect for carrying two children who can stay warm and dry with the optional canopy.
After dropping off the kids at daycare, you can go shopping—there’s plenty of room! And later, after work, the gym bag fits without a problem.
With its compact design, the Carrie is both maneuverable and sturdy, perfect for everyday use. Its small-diameter wheels make it incredibly agile in traffic, and it’s stable and secure, even when fully loaded, thanks to its very low center of gravity. These qualities make it ideal for urban use as well as weekend outings.
The seat height and handlebar stem are both adjustable, and the handlebar angle can be customized too, so the bike fits riders from 1.5 to 2 meters in height. It’s a family-friendly solution, perfect for households where people of different heights may need to share the bike.
With various customization options, Carrie can be tailored to each user’s specific needs. Starting with the drivetrain: for example, our City model is equipped with a Shimano Nexus internal hub gear, with an easy-to-use twist shifter. There’s also an option for the Touring model with a traditional 10-speed Shimano external derailleur or the Vario model with an Enviolo stepless transmission and belt drive.
The frame’s clean lines are highlighted by three beautiful pastel colors: Anise, Aqua or Shadow.
In terms of electronics, the Bosch Performance Line motor assistance allows easy riding on any road or incline, while the Smart System provides full connectivity, with two display options to choose from. Range is never an issue either, with battery options of 545 or 725 Wh.
Other options include a rear rack for extra loads and a suspension seat post for added comfort.
Finally, like all Riese & Müller bikes, Carrie is equipped with the optional RX chip—a GPS tracker that allows you to always keep tabs on your eBike’s location.
In short, this small yet mighty cargo bike has it all.
