Riese & Muller was founded in 1993 in a garage. Like Apple, Amazon, Disney and many other successful companies, they started from humble beginnings when founders Markus Riese and Heiko Müller, fellow students at the University of Mechanical Engineering, made the first fully suspension folding bike. This was the Birdy, the first step in an almost 30-year history of innovation.
Riese & Müller quickly became a brand for discerning cyclists, emphasising the importance of values such as quality, durability and technical and aesthetic originality, in order to offer its customers the best in terms of comfort, reliability and service.
Nowadays, the themes of sustainability, environmental protection and a responsible lifestyle are well known: especially in urban areas, they are part of the awareness of people who need to move with agility and without worries.

The production site in Germany is 100% emission neutral, thanks to a photovoltaic system that guarantees total energy autonomy. In addition, logistics and packaging have been designed to minimise the waste of materials, most of which are recyclable.
